State of the Art Terminals
AICT provides high productivity and vessel dispatch to container lines. Full custom examination service for Container Yards (CY) or Container Freight Station (CFS) containers are also be offered to all shippers and consignees.
In order to sustain the required levels of activity; the terminals operate on a 24/7 basis. By incorporating the latest technologies and software applications to support end-to-end automated systems, all terminal operations, customer support and instant tracking systems are covered.
On top of that, AICT system is integrated with Alexandria Port Authority (APA) and Customs Authority, which facilitate seamless handling of containers and cargo.
State-of-the-art equipment:
Terminals are equipped with the latest Post-Panamax-Gantry cranes. Such cranes are capable of reaching 17 rows across a vessel, while Rubber-Tyred-Gantries(RTGs) can stack containers up to 6 tiers high. Ancillary support equipment, include reach stackers; empty handlers, internal movement trucks and forklifts, and they all support the fully integrated terminal operations.
Terminal operations are planned and implemented through a fully integrated software system (Container Terminal Management System – CTMS) which is used for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Baplie exchange, planning of vessel, yard and gate operations.
Tracking containers is managed through a Wi-Fi network using Hand Held Terminals (HHT) and Vehicle Mounted Terminals (VMT) placed on RTG cranes; reach stackers, empty container handlers and internal trucks.
AICT believes that adopting information technology is a competitive advantage; hence, all aspects of terminal management including support functions and using world class ERP applications which are implemented using the finest technology to assure the best operations and support services to eliminate human error. AICT also incorporates CCTV technology for Security, Surveillance and complete access control system.
